| This design was for
a three-story modern terraced house requiring a very contemporary
feel and to be of low maintenance.
The garden was to
also include a substantial exterior wooden framed building
to be converted into a home gym.
Planting was bold,
structural and foliage based and was to reflect the overall
colour theme of deep purple and silver.
The garden was connected
by raised broad walks leading to two decks set at 45 degree
angles.
The garden incorporated
extensive lighting on all broad walks, decks and as up-lighters
to enhance the planting during early evening.
The use of purple/grey
slate added colour dimension to the garden and also maintained
the low-maintenance aspect.
The overall contemporary
feel was strengthened through key planters constructed from
oil-free railway sleepers and a central stainless steel water-feature
