This is a small back garden of a three-story terraced house in North Dulwich.
The theme is to create a peaceful haven that can be used for relaxing and entertaining with planting that will attract wildlife
Additional colour has been introduced by the use of stained trellis at the rear of the garden and by the renovation of a bench and side table. The existing walls on the right hand boundary have been painted a deep cream colour and the garden is framed by fencing that has been uniformed by the application of a dark wood stain.
The planting is a combination of structural plants to define boundaries, the introduction of a selection of trees that will provide shady areas as they mature and a range of 'wildlife' attracting plants. This garden also has a small herb area providing fragrance throughout the year.
The main hard landscaping of this garden incorporates two sandstone circles that are connected by herring-bone yellow brick paths.
