This was a feature within an established garden to utilise a redundant side passage.
The pergola was made of green tanalised up-rights with cross beams and was erected at the mid-point of the side passage and into the main garden providing a natural link between the house and main garden.
The central element of this design was a stone monolith water feature at the end of the passage which was enhanced by up-ligthing, creating movement and providing additional lighting to the overall garden as a whole.
The sense of tranquillity was continued with a combination of mature architectural planting, the use of washed cobbles and stepping stones to lead the eye and additional lighting.
