This is a semi-detached house in the Forest Hill area. Prior to the design and landscaping the garden was on a steep hill which has been reduced to provide a relaxing traditional garden area and at the rear a play area for the client's three children.

Directly of the rear of the house a decked platform area has been created with a ranch style handrail that provide an ideal area for small pots and containers.

The change in height is achieved by the use of railways sleepers and also adds another element to the garden.

In the main garden there is a semi-circular lawn that leads to the main pathway which is edged on both side with a lavender boarder. Additional planting has been designed in three key areas.

One of the main features of this garden is the children's play area that includes a two-tier ranch-style platform combined with climbing ropes, nets and ladders. The surrounding area is covered with a thick layer of play bark for added safety.

The high fence at the rear of the garden provides additional privacy and is off-set by planting a mature bamboo screen
