The Accessible Garden

  • This is a detached property close to Forest Hill. The garden is long and angular and on two levels with the second level at the back of the house.
  • The main aim of this design is maximise the available space and to provide access for a wheelchair.
  • Access is providd from the the side of the house via a decked walk way with capped hand rails. The rails are interspersed with sun burst panels to provide additional features to the overall structure.
  • As you are led to the bottom of the ramp you are met by a block paved pathway that leads to the end of the lower level garden. The pathway also incorporates a stone circle for additional seating which is sheltered by a wooden pergola.
  • The garden also incorporates a number of raised beds constructed from rail sleepers, extensive planting areas and a small lawn,
