This end of terrace Victorian house required an off-street parking solution that would blend with the character of the property.
Creating a gravel driveway provides a low-maintenance solution. The driveway is edge with granite kerb-setts that provide a striking barrier between the gravel and the footpath.
Planting was introduced by creating raised beds retained with charcoal rope edging, again adding elegance to the final design.
As the standard trees and under-planting mature, the edges of the beds will be softened providing a natural focal point for the driveway.
The footpath to the front-door has been replaced with a green Indian sandstone paving that also leads to the rear garden.
