  • This is a unique front garden design in the Herne Hill area. The use of standing stones and other aggregates provides a 'zen-like' quality.
  • The trellis fence provides a frame to off-set the elements of this garden.
  • Standing stones provide the central feature for the garden and the winding dry river bed of grey slate cobbles leads the eye to other points of interest.
  • Planting is simple but adds to the lakeland quality of this garden a single tree provides additional height to the garden.
  • The footpath is made of granite setts and the dark grey pointing between the setts acts as a contrast. Where the footpath crosses the river bed 'stepping stones' have been introduced.
  • The use of silver-grey granite chippings ensures this is a low maintenance garden.
  • Small planting beds close to the house provide additional features and points of interest in this garden.
