This is a small garden in a terraced house in West Norwood. The brief was to create an outdoor living space for entertainment and relaxation which was low maintenance.
The main feature on this garden is the bespoke water feature at the rear incorporating a water blade that cascades into a small pond. The pond is covered by a metal grille and is flush with the hardwood decking.
There are two decks in this garden providing entertaining space directly in front of the house and again in front of the water feature, The decks of off-set by a bespoke ranch-style fench.
In addtion to there are two addtional low-rise feature walls, under-planted with grasses. The planting is simple but provides an immediate impact. Bamboo, provides an addtional screening around the garden.
Granite paving connects the garden and again incorporates grasses and hedging.
There is extensive lighting in the garden including spot lights and low level wall lights.
Additional structure is achieved by using black steel planters and the use of flat white pebbles provides additional detail.
